The Blazers were looking to bounce back after a deflating loss to WJ on Senior Night and things looked good early on. The visiting Blazers were hoping to ruin the Vikings Senior Night and complete the regular season on a high note. Blair came out focused and were able to capitalize on early momentum with a goal in the ninth minute. Sophomore Marlee Ginyard slipped in behind the Whitman defense and fired a shot that was saved by the Viking goalkeeper, but junior Sophie Kim was in the right place at the right time to push in the rebound. Things went back and forth for most of the rest of the half, and the Blazers took a 1-0 lead into the intermission. During the second half, however, Whitman came out with a lot more determination. It took only two minutes for the Vikings to tie things up, after a deceptive shot caromed off the back post and right into the path of a Whitman striker, who blasted it into the net. Whitman continued to put the Blazers on their heels for much of second frame, and scored what turned out to be the game winner in the sixty-second minute. A giveaway in just outside the box set a Viking midfielder up perfectly and she sent a lazerbeam of a shot past senior goalkeeper Zoe Abramson, who never saw it coming. Down a goal, the Blazers would respond with a number of dangerous forays into the Whitman end. Ginyard had a breakaway snuffed out by the Viking goalkeeper and with just seconds left on the clock, senior Noa Dorah clanked a shot from the right sideline off the crossbar. A noble effort, but not enough for a win, the Blazers finish the regular season with a solid 10-4 record.
