After a bye in the first round of the playoffs, thanks to a #1 seed in the Section, the Blazers started their playoff run like a team on a mission. Blair jumped on the visiting Paint Branch Panthers early, with a goal from senior tri-captain Janie Pitner in the eleventh minute, who took a pass from senior tri-captain Noa Dorah and blasted it into the corner of the net. Junior Seren Sarkozy-Banoczy was the next to score, taking a turnover by the Paint Branch defense and making them pay with a powerful shot from the top of the box. Pitner would get her second goal of the game off of a cut-back pass from sophomore Marlee Ginyard who dribbled in from the right side and laid it off perfectly. Dorah would get a tally of her own with the help of senior Dede Greenfield, who dribbled her way into the left corner, slipped around the defender on the endline and passed it back to Dorah who made no mistake at close range two minutes before halftime. The Blazers would extend their lead to 5-0 two minutes into the second half when Dorah scored her second goal of the game, again assisted by Greenfield. Junior Marlee Ginyard added the next goal, off of a beautiful through ball from junior Emilie Vigliotta at the halfway mark of the second stanza. Sarkozy-Banoczy combined with senior tri-captain Rachel Dey to score her second goal in the sixty-ninth minute. The scoring was finished off four minutes from the end, when freshman Magda Goles fed Dorah, who promptly found the corner of the net and secured her first hat-trick of the season. The Blazers defeated Paint Branch 8-0 and would move on to the Regional Final for the second time in four years.
