Meghan L. Wilkinson, LAT, CSCS –

Meghan L. Wilkinson, LAT, ATC, CSCS joined MedStar Sports Medicine in 2013.  She is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at Montgomery Blair High School in Montgomery County.  This will be her fourth year at Blair.  Prior to this she was the Head Athletic Trainer at Blake High School in Montgomery County. She is also the physician extender to Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Evan Argintar. Meghan earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Miami University in Ohio. Meghan’s previous experiences include George Mason Club Football, Wheeling Jesuit University (WV), and Professional Physical Therapy (NY) with outreach to St. Mary’s High School athletics and Flushing High School Football. Meghan has a special interest in working with contact sports such as youth football organizations and collegiate Rugby Clubs.  As a graduate of Montgomery County Public schools, Meghan is honored to be one of the first certified athletic trainers to serve the county.


What an Athletic Trainer Is

An athletic trainer is a health care professions who provide services which include prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.  They work under the direction of physicians under state licensure statutes.
