The high school interscholastic athletics virtual program is available to all students at the high school level. All students enrolled at Blair High School are eligible to participate. The Blair High School virtual athletic season consists of a minimum of three student-athlete and coach engagement sessions per week (corollary sports will meet two times per week), over the course of five weeks. The winter virtual season is scheduled to occur between October 26 – December 4, 2020. As of 10/7, it will be completely virtual. The Blazer coaches and athletics staff are ready to work with the students!
All students participating in the winter virtual season, as part of the MCPS interscholastic athletics program, must complete the online registration process. Registration is done electronically through the Blair Virtual Winter Athletics Registration form found here: Blazer Winter Athletics Registration form. This form will be available from October 6, 2020 to October 24, 2020. As of October 25, registration will be closed. The winter athletics at Blair High School are: boys basketball, girls basketball, indoor track, wrestling, bocce, poms and swim and dive.
A student-athlete is highly encouraged to have a medical clearance form completed and on file at Blair High School in the Athletics Department. The only form that can be accepted is the form found here: SR-8 Medical Clearance. If this form was submitted to the Blair Athletics office during the 2019-2020 school year, it is valid for the virtual season. If the virtual season should move to having in person conditioning and/or skill work, a valid medical clearance must be on file with the school. Medical clearance for in person is only valid for exactly one calendar year. Ninth graders and transfers are to submit a valid medical clearance form with the registration or email it to Rita J. Boulé,
Students and parents/guardians who have difficulty with registration should contact Rita J. Boulé.
We are very excited to provide your student with the greatest education-based virtual athletics season during such unprecedented times. We Can, We Will, We Raise. Go Blazers!
